The America250PA initiative for McKean County is preparing to celebrate the United States' 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. This is an opportunity to reflect on our nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead towards the future. McKean County played an important role in our nation's history and it still continues to be an integral part of our nation. On Wednesday, January 28th, there was a kickoff event at the McKean County Court House in Smethport. Owen Troisi, a senior at Bradford Area High School, had the honor of opening the ceremony by singing the National Anthem. We are proud to be a part of celebrating our county and grateful to Owen for taking the time to be at the event!
