Help Desk Procedures for Users
The
procedures provided below enable district staff and faculty
to submit technology and maintenance work requests. The District
Help Desk also allows users to monitor the status of requests
submitted.

Open
Internet Explorer to the District home page and select
“District Help Desk” button on the
navigation bar.

Enter
your full email address (Example:
jdoe@bradfordareaschools.org )

Press
the “Submit” button.

Your
account will be created the first time you log in and
submit your first work request. Therefore, the system
will display a note in “red” that it could not find
your address…. “Either correct your address or enter
your last name if you are a new requestor.”

Enter
your last name (Example: Doe ) and press the “Submit”
button.

Complete
the required fields marked with a red check mark. Other
fields are optional. Press the “Submit”
button. Again, you will only have to perform Steps 3a
– 3c, once… the first time you submit a request.
- Select
the tab at the top of the window for the type
of request you want to submit Maintenance (Maint) or IT
(Technology). The system defaults to the Technology request.
- Complete
the request form by following the steps. You will notice
Step 1 is pre-populated with your account information.
Step 2, is your Location and Room. You may place a check
mark in the “ Yes, remember my area entries for my next
new request.” If you want the system to remember your
Location and room. This area can be changed even when
marked yes.
- Step
3, select or click on the appropriate
icon that identifies your problem or
request. Use the “Print Services” icon for all print requests.
- Step
4, describe your problem or request.
- Complete
the remaining steps as needed.
- In
order to submit a work request, a password is required.
The password will be changed periodically to maintain
the integrity of the system and database. The initial
password will be provided via email. You will receive
an auto-generated email anytime the password is changed.
- Select
the “Logout” link at the top of the
page.
Note:
There are other tabs at the top of the page. These
areas are for you to track your requests and change your account
settings. If you have questions, contact the Technology Department.
