The Bradford American Legion will award
$100 to the best local entry on the topic, "What
is Patriotism?" Interested students should
see Mr. Benton, room 302, for details about this contest.
The deadline for the Bradford Legion Essay is February
7. The winning paper then is entered in the District
level contest.
- The 2004 PA Statistics Poster Competition with a closing
date of February 28 is open to any high school student.
For further details, contact Ms. Meier, room 323, or any
math teacher. You can also visit www.math.iup.edu/paposters
for rules and regulations.
- The PA Society for Biomedical Research is sponsoring
an essay contest open to all PA students in grades 9-12.
(Six finalists and $2050 in prizes.): "Why
are Animals Used in Biomedical Research?" with a
March 15, 2004 deadline. For details, see Mr. Ambuske
in room 125, or any science teacher.
