Music
Music
education emphasizes many of the significant values of human life.
Music courses are offered in order to cultivate and support interest

their needs for cultural growth as well as self-expression. Students
may choose between elective programs or an independent study in
music. A student who enrolls in elective programs participates
in all scheduled school functions (i.e., Marching Band, pep assemblies,
parades, evening rehearsals, band camp, concerts and Commencement).
Instrumental students qualify to audition for the Jazz Ensemble
and will take lessons (band lab) on their instruments by section
with other classmates. Students interested in district participation
must be enrolled in the regular instrumental or vocal programs.
