SALSA

SALSA - Students Advocating Life without Substance Abuse

SALSA is open for 7th and 8th grade students beginning in September during afternoon home base at 1:50 p.m. in the LGI. Meeting dates are announced on the SALSA bulletin board in the lobby and during in-school announcements.  Sixth grade students may join the club after the Winter Holiday break during the first meeting in January.

SALSA serves as a support group for students who desire to make healthy lifestyle choices by choosing NOT to use tobacco, alcohol or other drugs.  Club members serve as role-models for younger students at GGB Elementary School.  The club is involved in several school and community activities and visits the Bradford Ecumenical Home each month to assist the residents with social activities.

Membership is open to any student who makes a commitment to healthy lifestyle choices and respect for others.  Club advisors are Mr. Ron Smith and Ms. Judy Abbey as well as Mike and Susie Dennis, SALSA Club Directors.
