Pre-Kindergarten - Celebrations

Birthday celebrations are important in our program.  They focus primarily on the aspect of building a classroom community and the joy of sharing.  Parents are always invited to the celebration.  We honor the child highlighting their strengths and interests with an original birthday song written by the chosen birthday committee.  A panel in the entryway of the classroom is used to announce the birthday to the entire school community.  Each birthday child is presented with a special gift made by the birthday committee using materials that are available in the classroom.
