Mathematics
The
second grade math program is designed to develop an understanding
in utilization of number concepts to solve practical problems.
Learning experiences will include various math concepts
such as: whole number operations, geometry, problem solving
and the use of technology. Units vary in length.
Various strategies will be used to develop math skills.
Assessments will be done. Time is available for student
conferencing and reteaching for mastery using various approaches
depending on the student's learning style. Reassessment
will follow.
